Management of ectopic eruptions
How to increase efficiency and success rate
Ectopic eruptions are a common problem in orthodontics. Most of the available literature on this topic limits the treatment possibilities and even advises not to solve some ectopic eruptions. Combining efficient biomechanics and protocols to increase patient’s response to treatment, solutions and increased success rate may be given to several dental abnormal evolution or position. A different personal perspective on skeletal anchorage, alveolar corticotomy, and effective biomechanics will be shown and how they may be utilized to help manage cases in a direction different from what is commonly “advised” in the literature.
